The 10 days rapid Everest base camp trek also known as short
Everest Base Camp trek program is starts and ends at Kathmandu. There are no
extra days for acclimatization on the route. So it might not suitable for all
types of trekkers planning to trek in Everest. However, all the services are
available similar like in the 14 days Everest Base Camp Trekking except the
hotel in Kathmandu. If you are limited by time and budget but strong enough for
walking in the high altitude, this trekking package is the wise choice for you.

Day 01: Kathmandu – Lukla and trek to
Phakding (2,562m, 35 min flight, 8 km, 3-4 hrs)
Transfer to domestic airport and fly to Lukla (2,780m/9,175ft). It takes about 35
minutes with exciting mountain views. Introduce with guide cum porters trek to
Phakding.

Day 02: Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3,440 m, 10 km, 5-6 hrs treks)
Trek leads through a beautiful pine forest, along Dudh Koshi River crossing
many suspension bridges via Sherpa villages Benkar, Chimoa, Monjo and Jorsole a
national park permit check point to reach the Sherpa capital Namche Bazar.

Day 03: Namche Bazzar - Tengboche (3,870m, 10km, 5-6 hrs)
Trek to the moderately flat trail with superb view of Mt. Everest, Nuptse,
Lhotse, Ama Dablam and close up view of Thamserku, Khangtaga. Trek ups and
downs enjoying the alping flora and fauna. Cross suspension bridge over Dudh
Koshi River a steep climb through pine and juniper forest, walk about 2 hours
bring you to Tengboche, famous monastery in Everest.

Day 04:Tengboche - Dingboche (4,360m, 5-6
hrs, 8km)
Trek descends to Deboche a small village with Chortens and Mani stone walls.
Cross suspension bridge over Imja Khola (Imja Streams) and gradually ascend to
Pangboche. The trail heads to Dingboche the last Sherpa settlement with the
beautiful terraced field enclosed by stone wall.

Day 05: Dingboche – Lobuche (4,940m, 4-5 hrs, 7
km)
Trek to uphills along with the towering view of Tawache peak & Cholatse.
Trail continues through the Yak grazing pasture to Dhukla (4620 /15158ft).
Trail leads steep up to gravely terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier for
about one hour. Follow the valley upstream about an hour to reach Lobuche.

Day 06: Lobuche - Gorakshep (5,160m) - Everest Base Camp (5,364m)
Gorakshep (7-8 hrs, 15 km)
Morning, trek follows windy and rocky path. The trekking trail continues along
side of Khumbu Glacier to Gorakshep. Check in to Hotel, Lunch and afternoon set
out to visit the base camp of highest mountain. Base camp has no view of Mt. Everest
but fantastic view of Khumbu Icefall. Trek back to Gorakshep for overnight.

Day 07: Gorakshep - Kala Patthar (5,545m) -
Pheriche (4,280m, 15km, 7-8 hrs)
A very early morning climb of 2-3 hours up Kala Patthar for eye level views of
Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Nuptse and several snowcapped peaks. Trek back
to Gorak Shep for breakfast, and then return back to Lobuche. Trek continue to Pheriche
village

Day 08: Pheriche – Namche Bazaar (3,440m, 15km,
6-7 hrs)
Today’s trail gradually descends to Namche Bazaar. Trekking a long descent leads to Phunki Thenga
(3,250m/10,663ft) on the Imja Khola: the trek’s lowest point north of Lukla.
Continue to reach Namche Bazaar for overnight stay.

Day 09: Namche Bazaar – Lukla (2,642m, 18km, 6-7 hrs)
From Namche, the trail descends to more comfortable altitudes, passing through
the friendly farming villages of Jorsale, Monjo, Phakding, then crosses the
suspension bridge at Thado Koshi before rising to Ghat and Cheplung. Round off
the adventure with the final 700m, 35min ascent to Lukla: and say goodbye to
your porters.

After an early breakfast, take the return flight to Kathmandu. Transfer to your
