Tsum Valley trek is the famous sacred Himalayan pilgrimage valley situated in the northern Gorkha district of Nepal. Tsum is derived from Tibetan word ‘Tsumbo’ which means vivid. The valley is dotted with gompas (Buddhist Monasteries), Chortens and maniwalls. The Tsum valley trekking trail is head up the Valley of Budi Gandaki River through wild and unexplored country inhabited mainly by Gurung ethnic group.  Against the majestic backdrop of Ganesh Himal Sringi Himal, Buddha Himal ranges this peaceful Himalayan valley is rich in ancient art, culture and religion. The hidden valley is surrounded by the Bouddha Himal and Himal Chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south and Sringi Himal to the north.  Tsum valley was opened to foreign trekkers in 2008. Since it has not been visited by many travelers there are very few established tea houses, hotels or stores along the trials. The exciting Tsum valley trek starts from Kathmandu. You’ll provide as tourist for the easy and comfortable transportation. The Tsum valley has a long history of Buddhism. The ancient remains of the Tsum Kingdom are still visible today. Due to its remoteness and inaccessibility, this sacred valley and its people have been by passed by mainstream development for centuries. As a result, the unique culture of this valley has remained intact. You need a licensed guide with you but if you don’t have than entrance in this region for you will be prohibited. People in Tsum valley still practice polyandry system and have their own unique culture, tradition and dialect. Tsum valley trek is one of the best treks where ones can easily fell the friendly and hospitable people a living traditional Tibetan Buddhist Prohibitions on hunting. The people here never slaughter animals, even as scarifies to the gods. After you finished sightseeing and trekking in Tsum valley, drive back to Kathmandu which will be the end of this tour.
