Kali Gandaki River Rafting offers you to
play and enjoy the chilled water coming from the famous Kali Gandaki Gorge.
This Gorge is also known as the deepest gorge in the world. It flows between
the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountains in the west of Nepal.
The name of the river was taken
from the holy goddess Kali. The river originates from the high Tibetan plateau
and flows south from the gorge in the Annapurna region and Dhaulagiri region.
The Kali Gandaki river confluence the Modi Khola and flows south through
villages and forests.
White water rafting in Kali
Gandaki River is renowned for the exciting 60 sets of 3 to 4 grade rapids.
The rafting route is 60 km long. The put in point for this Kali Gandaki river
rafting is in Nayapul. It is situated to the west of the Kathmandu valley and
it can be reached with scenic long drive from Kathmandu.
This is 03 days classic
wilderness journey on the Kali Gandaki River and can be extended with the
famous Pokhara sightseeing tour. All the overnight will be managed with
exciting camping and fire.
Day 01: Arrive
in Kathmandu International Airport
You will arrive
in Kathmandu via Tribhuvan International Airport. Visit our office and complete
the formalities and paper works for your Nepal visit. Hotel transfer and rest.
You can enjoy the evening time on your own. Hotel overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Pokhara – Nayapul – Modi Khola
Nayapul is our
put in point for rafting in Kali Gandaki River. It is about 2 hour away from
Pokhara. Reaching the put in point, unload all rafting gears and pay attention
for the short safety briefing by our guide. Begin rafting with easy rapids and
beautiful scenery of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Fishtail mountains. Enjoy the
camp fire overnight at the beach of Modi Khola.
Day 03: Rafting up to Purti Ghat
After breakfast
at our camp site, be ready for the second day of the rafting tour. Today the
rafting will be filled with exciting grade 3 and some challenging grade 4
rapids which are also popular as Refund rapid. The rafting adds the spectacular
view of mountains and lush green forest and stop at the village below Purti
Ghat. Camp fire is organized for the overnight.
Day 04: Purti Ghat - Mirme and back to
Pokhara
Today you will
starts the last day rafting from the camp site at Purti Ghat and end it at
Mirme, the put out point. You will pass the holy village of Seti Beni and
interesting huge boulder in the confluence. You will drive back to Pokhara and
have rest in the hotel.
Day 05: Final Departure
Farewell
and departure day in Kathmandu. You will drive back to Kathmandu to catch up the
pre booked flight.
