Bhairav or Bhairab Kunda Trek is a pilgrimage trekking towards the north east of Kathmandu valley. The holy lake Bhairab Kunda is lying near the Tibetan border in Sindhupalchok district. The lake lies at the altitude of 4,250m. and offers the dramatic views of high Himalayan peaks such as Dorje Lakpa 6,966, Madiya 6,257M and Phurbi Ghhyachu 6,637m in Jugal Himal range and close up view of different Tibetan plateaus and Glaciers.

The name of Bhairav is derived after the lord Bhairav which is a destructive image of Lord Shiva. Apart from being a spiritual jounry, this Bhairab kunda trekking is also an adventurous and exciting walking to see the religious place of Buddhist and Hindus. Many other tourists also join along the trek to explore the typical Nepali culture and view some of the incredible Himalayan range.

The trekking starts from the Nepal Tibet traditional trade route just after the Jalbire Bazaar which lies about 85 kilometers north east from Kathmandu valley. The trekking route passes through many small Tamang, Ghole and Gurung villages along the dense forest of Rhododendron and Oak. You will encounter with many endanger animals like red panda, snow leopard, Himalayan black bear etc. and enjoying the beautiful sound of birds chirping throughout the journey.

Altitude Sickness is common symptoms seen among traveler who are traveling for the first time in such high altitude. Here we take a brief rest to overcome the sickness and acclimatize with the climate and geography. In Pati you can see some spectacular view of several glorious Tibetan plateaus, and the peak is the Jugal Himal range. Our trail now climbs a steep hill making an exhausting journey up to the altitude of 4,250m. to reach Bhairav Kunda. Near the kunda you can see a temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the devotee visit this temple and pay their homage to the lord Shiva and bath in the Bhairav Kunda. After exploring its vicinity we trek down to Sherpa Gaon travel around the forest and observing the amazing view of Jugal Himal range.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu, transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight at hotel in BB plan

Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley visit Pashupatinath temple, Boundhanath, Swyambhunath and Kathmandu durbar square.

Day 03: Drive to Jalbire 1,000m 4/5 hours overnight at Tent.

Day 04: Trek to Chanaute 1,350m 4 ½ hours overnight at Tent.

Day 05: Trek to Khani Gaon 2,000m 6 hours overnight at Tent.

Day 06: Rest day in Khani Gaon Local Village sightseeing overnight at Tent.

Day 07: Trek to Forest Camp 3,150m 6/7 hours overnight at Tent.

Day 08: Trek to Pati 3,765m 5 hours overnight at Tent.

Day 09: Trek to Bhairab Kunda 4,250m 3 hours overnight at Tent.

Day 10: Trek down to Sherpa gaon 2,500m After Sunrise view 6/7 hours overnight at Tent.

Day 11: Trek to Larcha 1,500m and visit Hot spring (Kodari Tato pani) overnight at Tent.

Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu 5/6 hours Evening farewell Dinner together with Typical Nepali culture overnight at Hotel.

Day 13: Transfer to airport for international flight connection
