Best Time for Tilicho Lake Trek

Trekking Starting Point

To access Tilicho lake, you could start from Kathmandu itself but Besisahar is the place to journey but you would pass through wonderful places like Ngadi, Jagat, Dharapani, Chame, Pisang, then Manag (at you may need acclimatization). To reach Tilicho Base Camp, the destination, you must pass through Khangsar and then you descend through NamaPhu till you reach Jomsom where your trek ends.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu international airport, transfer to the Hotel.

Day 2: Drive Kathmandu via Besishahar (850m) to Syage

Day 3: Syange to Tal (1314m) 6hrs.

Day 4: Tal to Chame (2713m) 5:30 hrs.

Day 5: Chame to Pisang (3185m) 6hrs

Day 6: Pisang to Manang (3540 meters) 5 hours.

Day 7: Acclimatization day at Manang village.

Day 8: Manang to Khangsar Village (3700 meters) 4 hours.

Day 9: Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp (4200meters) 5 hours.

Day 10: Tilocho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake (5200 meters) and back down to Tilicho Base Camp 4200meters) 6 hours.

Day 11: Tilicho Base camp to Yak Kharka (4000 meters) 5 hours.

Day 12: Yak Kharka to Thorong high camp (4800 meters) 5 hours.

Day 13: Thorong high Camp to Muktinath (3800 meters) via Thorung La pass (5416 meters) 7 hours.

Day 14: Muktimath to Jomsom (2720 meters) 5 hours.

Day 15: Early morning fly to Pokhara and sightseeing around Pokhara same day.

Day 16: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.
