Barpark village tour
is new village trekking tour to experience
the village life of Nepal after the massive earthquake. Barpak is a small
picturesque hill top station that lies 45 km north from Gorkha at an elevation
of (1,900m). It is believed that Barpak was once ruled by Ghale king during the
period of 22 -24 kingdom (Baise- Choubise Rajya) in Nepal. Barkpak is also the homeland of great Gaje
Ghale- honered by Victoria Cross during 2nd world war in Burma. The
majority of Barpak community rely on agriculture however some youth join
British Gurkha , Nepal Army, Indian Army or go foreign for job. Basic
infrastructure like paved path, electricity, phone, water supply etc is
accessible in Barpak easily.
In 25th April 2015 massif earth quake of 7.9
magnitude rocked Barpak that badly damaged many houses, forcing number of
residents, who spent nights in open area and emergency shelter. This naturally
decorated village turned into mess within the minute because of devastating
natural force killing many people and leaving hundreds of people injured. But
the village is under reconstruction and instate of reincarnation again.
Earthquake did affect the residents but the beauty and purity is still the
same. The flock of tourist, students,
NGOs- INGOs, government staffs and diplomat is significantly increasing in
rapid manner.
Brimming with unique sloppy village with dense stone-tile
roofed house, abundant culture and majestic landscapes, Barpak are an
incredible place to visit. Local people believe that worshiping Narad Pokhari
(a pilgrimage site of Hindu) after bathing at Shrawna Sharangti makes every
devotee wish comes true. It is local myth that you must visit temple if you
said you want to go, despite of harsh journey through rugged mountainous
terrain. From cultural village tour to
