01: When is the best time to go for Upper Mustang Trek?
Upper Mustang can be trekked in all the season throughout the year. But in Monsoon and winter the sky seems to be not clear lacking the views of high mountains and the heavy rains disturb the trek. During winter temperatures are very low and days are short which makes trek tough.
Oct- May is the best time for this trek. During these months the sky is clear and moderate temperature makes the trek best experience. The views of majestic Mountains are extraordinary.

02: Do I need to be fit to do this trek?
Not that fit. If you don’t bother walking up-stairs and can walk for a few hours at a time, this trek is for you.
That’s not to say, it will be easy each day – you can be exhausted and your legs might get hurt. But if you take slow pace and take some day with acclimatization, drink enough water and listen to your body, you can make it with no major issues.
Engaging you in cardiovascular exercise, leg training, aerobic exercise and short hiking few weeks prior the trek would be the wise decision. It boosts up your strength and stamina.
Note: Because of some steep uphill and downhill trail route, rocky paths and rock steps, Upper Mustang trekking would not be appropriate for anyone with knee problems or weak ankles. Anyone with the problem of heart or lungs must consult the doctor prior the trek. Be noted that the medical facilities are very basic on the trail.

03: Do I find ATMs on the way to Mustang Trekking?
The answer is No!
You will not find any ATMs on the way to trek. ATMs are available in big cities like Kathmandu.
Note: Everything you buy must be paid in Nepali currency. So, it is wise to exchange money before the trek.

04: How is the tea house and lodge along the route to Upper Mustang?
There are not much guest houses and lodges. But because of less visits in this site the lodges are enough. Sometimes we may have to Camp overnight.

05: Where to say during the night?
You will have enough options of staying in local lodges to tourist standard hotels in some places during the trek. You will have food and accommodation in tea houses.

06: What to eat during the trek?
You can order from the available menu where you are going to stay. Mostly Nepali food is available in the route. You can buy biscuits, noodles etc in the local Shops on the way too.

07: Do I have to carry a backpack?
No, we have porters who carry your heavy gear but you have to carry light day-pack containing water bottle, camera, sunglasses, extra layer of clothing, rain coat or wind breaker and snacks.

08: What if the guide or porters leaves me alone in the trail?
Don’t worry, we provide only experienced and reliable guides and porters. We guarantee that your guides and porters won’t disappear throughout your trip. In case they did, we will immediately send you new guide or porter to help you.

09: Do I need travel insurance?
Yes you must have travel insurance which can cover the helicopter rescue and medical fee coverage in case of any kinds of emergency. Sometime altitude sickness makes you in difficult situation and need to airlift to Kathmandu. So the insurance need to cover these expenses.

We recently returned from the 13 days in the Upper Mustang Valley trek and it was a great experience! Of buddies religion and we went on the Langtang Trek last years and were really impressed with the friendly professionalism and service of Life Dream Adventure team, so we elected to go with the company again for the Upper Mustang. The value is very good and the service was outstanding. Hari, the director, is great and the team we had on the trek, the guide Sabin was very attentive and friendly. Spectacular Upper Mustang Trekking

My trek to Lo - Mangthang (Upper Mustang) was spectacular. All of the people I met in the hotels, along the trekking path, etc are extremely friendly and helpful of course. The landscape is the wonderful. Keshab, was so helpful and profanely taught me a lot of Nepali of practical use. We became like a little family because the group size was so small.

I would highly recommend Life Dream Adventure for Trekking in Nepal.

Thank you very much.

A company with great services

We came to Nepal to visit the Tiji festival in upper Mustang region. We have booked a tour with Life Dream for 23 days including on top of the trek to Lo Mathang where the Tiji festival took place, also trek to Muktinath and tours around Pokhara and Kathmandu. The idea was that from the moment we land in Nepal until we left, someone will take care of us.

I must say that this small company with its manager Hari Bhatta fulfilled ALL its commitments and assigned us a wonderful guide Sabin Dhakal and a a very nice porter. We were very happy and satisfied. I must conclude that it is not really necessary to go to the big companies and with small companies you get more attention and the service is better accordingly.

I strongly recommend this company
