Enjoy fabulous mountain scenery enroute, visit mystical Buddhist monasteries of Tashilungpo at Shigatse, the Kumbum Stupa at Gyantse, and drive past the beautiful Turquoise lake. This route gives you a glimpse of both the Tibetan and Nepali culture. We'll pass small Tibetan settlements, nomadic herdsmen wandering across the wide arid plains and awe-inspiring mountain peaks. Equally as fascinating is the wealth of cultural interest and we will have plenty of opportunity to explore this side of Tibet, both in Lhasa and the other towns we pass through on our journey.
Tibet Cultural Tour itinerary
Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu, you are welcomed by hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to hotel. Our airport representative will explain briefly the program.
Day 02: After breakfast, our tour guide will take to you for historical monuments sightseeing around Kathmandu valley such as Bhkatapur, pasupatinath, Boudhhanath, Kathmandu durbar square & Swaymbhunath(monkey temple)
Day 03: Kathmandu (1300) /Zhangmu (2,500m)/Nyalam (3700m): 123 KM/ 156KM
Day 04: Nyalam /Tingri (4300M) / Lhatse (4350M): 225Km /244Km
Day 05: Lhatse to Xigatse (3900M): 244KM
Day 06: Xigatse to Gyantse (3,900M): 90KM
Day 07: Gyantse to Lhasa (3,650M): 261KM
Day 08-09: In Lhasa
Day 10: Lhasa to Kathmandu
