Annapurna Base Camp Trek
The Annapurna Base Camp is popular trekking destination. It is the base of world's tenth highest peak Mount Annapurna (8,091m.) to the north west of Pokhara city. Pokhara city is the hub of tourism in western Nepal.
Annapurna Base Camp trek is moderate trekking trail that offers the amazing views of landscapes, mountain views and visit of culturally rich ethnic settlements. Lush and green forests, paddy and grain fields working local farmers, heard of sheeps, goats and cows and caravans of donkeys and horses are the major attraction of this trek. The two weeks long trekking is not so difficult to cross.
Trekking Trail:
The trekking trail of this trek is physically not so difficult. The stone paved hiking trail is wide enough. In some places, landslide and rocky hill has made the trail bit narrow. Trekking trail is very steep and vertical in some places.
Accommodation:
During the trekking, you can get well managed accommodation on the trekking route. Small guest houses are available almost all places between 3 – 4 hours walking distance. If you are planning to do the same trekking in fully camping mode, you will get many free places to set your camps.
Best Season:
Annapurna base camp trekking is possible to do during all the year around. Spring season (March to May) and autumn season (September to December) are best time to go for Annapurna Base Camp. During the spring season you can enjoy the clear views of mountains and colorful rhododendron forest from the trail. In the autumn season the green hills and beautiful mountain views attract your mind and give you the delightful happiness. Crystal clear waterfalls and current flow of stream water is another attraction during this time.
People and Culture:
Annapurna region is dominated by the Gurung, Magar and Thakali community. Birethati, Ghandruk, Ghorepani, Tadapani, Chomrong and Pothana are the major settlement on the way. Ghandruk village offers the opportunity to enjoy the ethnic hospitality of Gurung community and explore the Gurung Museum.
Trekking Permit:
Annapurna Base Camp is preserved under the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) and you need entry permit to trek in this route. Trekker's Information Management System (TIMS) is another compulsory document to trek in Annapurna.

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking Itinerary
Days 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu, you are welcomed by hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to hotel. Our airport representative will explain briefly the program and preparation for trek.
Days 02: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft) and trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft): takes about 6 hours
Days 03Trek from Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft), takes about 5 hours
Days 04: Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2580m/8460ft), takes about 6 hours
Days 05: Trek from Doban to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): takes about 4 hours
Days 06: Trek from Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft): takes about 3-4 hours
Days 07: Trek from Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) (4,130m/13,545ft): takes about 2-3 hours
Days 08:Trek from ABC to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft): takes about 6 hours
Days 09: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Dada (1760m/5770 ft): takes about 6 hours
Days 10:Trek from Jhinu Dada to Nayapul to Pokhara and drive or fly back to Kathmandu: takes about 6 hours by land and 1 hour by air, overnight at hotel in Kathmandu
Days 11: Final Departure to your destination or you can extend your trip
